Out of Studio

I've been shooting a lot lately, so much that I haven't been able to keep up with this.

Last month I experimented a bit with bringing my lights to unseen NYC apartment locations a few times. It's an interesting experience and I'm still learning, still trying to make my results more reliable.

This is Charley. He is not the first person I've shot who has the same name as me and hopefully not the last either. But I have to say, what a photographer should maybe never admit, that he looks better in person. I always say this, but I hope to get him into the studio one day.

Then a few days later I shot Scott. His was possibly the hardest location I've had to deal with; I just felt like his apartment, which is very nice and well-decorated, resisted dovetailing into my vision.

I did what I could, and I'll keep trying,

The photos of Charley were taken Jan 14, 2012 and the photos of Scott were taken Jan 18, 2011.

Charlie, saw this movie on Logo last night and thought you'd enjoy it.

This movie about a Risque Photographer that is murdered. His identical twin takes his place to find out who did it. What this photographer does to his models (at times rather he is ruthless, berating and demeaning) to get what he wants out of them is something else.

It seemed a little cheesy at first but after it started I was enthralled! lol
